Sean Black Secures Not Guilty Verdict in Child Molestation Case

Posted by Sean A. Black | Oct 28, 2024 | 0 Comments

Sean Black recently tried a very serious case to a jury.  The defendant was charged with child molestation and sexual battery on a child under the age of 16 years.  The defendant was a neighbor who was accused of inappropriate contact which allegedly happened in his front yard in a neighborhood.  Interestingly, the alleged victim and her mother denied that there was inappropriate contact by the defendant.  The State pressed the case based on a statement made by a neighbor who was at least 100 yards away.

The jury deliberated most of a day before returning a not guilty on the child molestation.  The jury deadlocked on the sexual battery charge.
