When a person commits sexual intercourse or sodomy with a person with whom he or she knows they are related by blood or marriage as follows, it is the offense of incest:

1. Father and child or stepchild
2. Mother and child or stepchild
3. Siblings of the whole blood or the half blood
4. Grandparent and grandchild of the whole blood or the half blood
5. Aunt and niece or nephew of the whole blood or the half blood
6. Uncle and niece or nephew of the whole blood or the half blood

Incest is a felony punishable by 10 to 25 years.  If the child is under the age of 14 years, the punishment increases to a range of 25 to 50 years.
