Solicitation of Sodomy

Solicitation of sodomy remains on the books in Georgia, although it does not apply to communications relative to acts within the right of privacy.

Requests for commercial exchanges for sodomy can still be punished much as solicitation of prostitution in general.

If the illegal solicitation is directed at a person under the age of 18 years, it can be a felony punishable by between 5 and 20 years, with a fine between $2,500 and $10,000.
