Elections Related Offenses

A growing area of the criminal law in Georgia is elections law.  The legislature has expanded what had been a fairly sleepy area of the law with lots of new requirements and some new offenses.  Certainly, the growing complexity of the area poses challenges for all involved.

Most elections offenses are found at OCGA Title 21, Chapter 2, Article 15.

Offenses can occur during registration, voting, qualifying, campaigning, and any interaction with elections officials.
