Georgia and federal law do impose some limitations on possession of firearms.  Such offenses can occur in the context of other alleged criminal conduct or as distinct offenses.  Conviction of Georgia court decisions may have consequences on federal eligibility to possess firearms which have moved in interstate commerce.  With very rare exceptions, all firearms are claimed to have moved in or been affected by interstate commerce.
