Business Selection

Small businesses need good advice if they are to prosper.  Entity selection is one part of the equation, but advice is needed on a variety of other topics.  We will work with you to practice preventive law wherever possible and also to handle problems when or if they arise.

We can assist you in the formation of your business or non-profit entity.  We also provide continuing representation to handle matters as they arise before they can become too large.  We can also help you to look to the future and expansion and succession planning.

Entity Selection and Formation
We can help you whether your entity will be a sole proprietorship, a partnership or joint venture, a limited partnership, a limited liability company, a limited liability partnership, or a corporation.  For more information, about the type of business you should form, look at our business selection page.

Continuing Representation
Just as no set of inoculations can keep you from needing additional medical consultation and treatment, no formation of an entity can end your need for continuing advice.  We can help you identify legal problems and move to solve them.

Succession Planning
Early on in an enterprise is the time to begin considering what will happen to the business if things change.  What if the partners and investors can no longer get along?  What will happen to the business if you want or need to retire from it?   It is important to deal with such questions before they arise in real life.
